The Poudre River Public Library District (PRPLD) was awarded grants for two projects under the Larimer County Immediate Needs Grant program. The first was a contribution towards the purchase of a vehicle to provide mobile library services, which was introduced at the May 9th Administrative Matters Meeting. The second project, entitled “Technology at Home (TecH), enabled PRPLD to purchase laptop and hotspot kits that can be lent out so that customers can have internet and technology access at their homes.

Item #4: Larimer County Immediate Needs Grant Program - Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center 01:34:05

Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center (Teaching Tree) provides year-round, full, and half-day developmentally appropriate programs for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age in Loveland and Fort Collins. In September 2021 during a surge in COVID-19 cases caused by the Delta variant, Teaching Tree implemented a cohorting system in order to continue operating and to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure. Cohorting resulted in fewer children per classroom, requiring additional staff time and associated expense. The Immediate Needs Grant from Larimer County funded these additional costs to enable safe operation.
